Creating and Sustaining Local Opportunity

Updated: Oct 17

In Crook County, we know the value of hard work, self-reliance, and community. My top priority is to strengthen our local economy by empowering the people who call this county home — not by growing government, but by unleashing the potential of our small businesses, natural resources, and local workforce.

We can create and sustain good-paying jobs right here in Crook County by:

  1. Cutting Red Tape: Streamlining local regulations and reducing burdens on small businesses so they can hire, grow, and thrive without unnecessary interference from Salem or Washington, D.C.

  2. Investing in Local Industry: Supporting responsible growth in timber, agriculture, and manufacturing — industries that built this region and continue to provide honest, family-wage jobs.

  3. Encouraging Entrepreneurship: Expanding access to workforce training, apprenticeships, and small business support so young people and tradesmen can build their futures right here at home.

  4. Improving Infrastructure: Prioritizing local road, broadband, and energy projects to attract new employers and keep Crook County competitive in a changing economy.

  5. Keeping Taxes Low: Protecting families and small businesses from tax hikes that make it harder to hire and invest in our local economy.

This is about more than job numbers — it’s about protecting our way of life. When we keep government limited, support local enterprise, and invest in our people, Crook County wins.

Together, we can make Crook County a place where the next generation can live, work, and raise their families — without leaving home to find opportunity.
