As County Commissioner, I will bring my unique perspective to the table to preserve our small-town values, intelligently manage our natural resources and make sure that Crook County remains a great place to live, work and raise a family. I am a long time resident of Crook County, an author, an expert on what it means to preserve the western way of life and a strong voice against the tyranny of the liberals in Salem.

Small Town Values

Crook County is built on the strength of small-town values — hard work, personal responsibility, and a deep respect for our neighbors. These values aren’t just part of our history; they’re the foundation of our future. I am committed to safeguarding Crook County's small town feel and ensuring that this continues to be a great place to live and raise a family.

Common Sense Growth

The population of Crook County has grown by more than 20-percent in five years. This growth needs to be managed to make sure it benefits existing residents, without eroding our way of life. I will advocate for practical, common-sense fixes to local development challenges. And I will control the growth of solar farms and wind turbines that deface our landscape while providing very little economic benefit.

Local Opportunity

As your next County Commissioner, I will strengthen our local economy by empowering the people who call this county home — not by growing government, but by unleashing the potential of our small businesses, natural resources, and local workforce. I will focus on supporting existing business and attracting new business that aligns with local needs, without selling out and compromising our rural identity. By diversifying our job market, we will create stable employment opportunities that align with who we are.

Infrastructure Improvement

As Commissioner, I will prioritize infrastructure and maintenance upgrades to support the safety of our residents, as well as to promote agriculture, business and tourism, including a second access road for Juniper Canyon to improve safety for residents.

Managing Our Resources

Crook County’s strength has always come from the land — from our forests, ranches, farms, and open spaces. Our natural resources are the backbone of our local economy and a vital part of our way of life. As your Commissioner, I will fight to ensure these resources are managed with common sense, local control, and respect for the people who depend on them.

Transparent Leadership

I will fight like hell against outside government overreach that adversely affects the lives of Crook County residents and conflicts with our rural culture and heritage. And, I will ensure that the decisions made by local government are transparent, fair and put to a vote of the people. The workings of local government must be open, honest and transparent to all members of our community.
